Google Play Store: how to change country?

Want an app that isn’t in the French Google Play Store and don’t want to download its APK from an alternative source like APK Mirror? Google allows the Store to change country and use its catalog under certain conditions. But nothing is really being done to encourage you to do so: the change is limited to 1 in a 365-day period and you have to “visit” (or Connect to it with VPN) to really change. However, the mechanism is flexible enough that you can replace the louvers if you complete these few steps.

How do I change the country of my Google Play Store?

Changing the country of your Google Play Store requires three things: You need to connect to the target country using a VPN directly on your smartphone, and create a new account if you don’t have a registered payment method in that country.

To change the country of your Google Play Store, you need to:

• Install a VPN on your smartphone or tablet
• Open after login Settings > Apps and touch Google Play store on the list
• Touch I top right
• To touch force stop
• To touch open storage

If you open the Google Play Store at this point and do a search, you should see prices in the results in the currency of the country you’re logged into. If this is not the case, you will need to manually change the country:

• In Google Play store swipe from left to right to bring up the side menu
• enter inside Account > Countries and Profiles
• Select the country from the list
• Depending on your payment method, you may need to update your information: Google will ask for a card number issued in the relevant country.

If you don’t have a handy payment method, some say you can use a PayPal account. The alternative is to create a new account and login for Google Play Store without payment method and change the country from there using the steps above.
