Google Maps: How to enable Incognito mode on Android

After a small-scale testing phase, Google is now rolling out incognito mode For all Google Maps users on Android. The Mountain View company announced this in early October, promising that the update will come to the little green robot in the operating system by the end of the month, and then to iOS in the near future. But in the end you won’t have to wait any longer: Googlee Maps has an Incognito mode!

As with Chrome or Youtube, this mode prevents Google Maps from saving locations and routes consulted in the app. As with Chrome, it is possible to activate this private browsing mode by clicking an icon (similar to Chrome) accessible in the interface. For him:

  • 1. Open Google Maps
  • 2nd. profile photo (in the upper right corner of the screen)
  • 3. Tap hidden (below the Manage Your Google Account button)
  • 4. A gray banner will appear on the screen to indicate that the mod is active.
