Do you regularly receive calls to your Freebox landline? Have you ever tried Bloctel to no avail? Free offers its subscribers its own search filter. The operator does not provide any details on how it works and does not allow numbers to be manually added to the block list. It’s on by default for many subscribers, but if not, or just to make sure it’s checked, here’s how to turn it on.
How to block cold calling on Freebox?
Nothing could be simpler to enable call blocking:
- enter inside Your Freebox subscriber area
- go to tab phone back then Manage my phone services > Spam filter
- If this is not the case, enable the option
- click Save Changes
It is also possible to activate or deactivate this blocking directly from your landline:
- Call *#350# to check the blocking status
- Call *350# to enable blocking
- Call #350# to disable blocking
Theoretically, if this filter is enabled, you should no longer receive cold calls. In practice, the results are random. The service would undoubtedly be more efficient if Free allowed its subscribers to report numbers to be blocked, for example by giving them the ability to report these numbers directly from the Freebox Companion app’s call log.
