Galaxy Nexus includes the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system with a number of important improvements.
One of the most notable is the new Favorites Tray, or home screen dock, which contains shortcuts to your four most used apps.
Just like you can switch apps in the iPhone’s dock, you can switch apps in your Favorites Tray.
This short guide will show you how to customize your favorite apps on Galaxy Nexus.
You can change any of the app icons in the favorites tray except the middle one which launches all your apps.
- Make room for a new app by dragging one of your current favorites to the home screen.
- Drag your new app to the created empty space.
No need for more, now you can access the app from any home screen.
The video below shows you how to customize the Galaxy Nexus Favorites Tray so you can see the process in action.
You can even add a folder to the Favorites Tray so you can access even more apps from any home screen. It’s a nice touch and much more useful than the limiting 4 icons found on the iPhone 4S.
