First of all when you get “Data may be corrupt” or “Android system cannot be loaded” error on Google TV, you cannot do anything with the remote control because you are in Android recovery. you will have to Physically access the Chromecast on the back of the TV when the dongle is connected to the TV. If you have a wall-mounted TV this will be a challenge for you but you still have to do this little operation.

restart button

you will find small button on the back Chromecast dongle. Press it once and it will toggle between “Try again” and “Factory data reset” in Recovery mode. A long press will select this option and perform the selected action. So I recommend switching to “Try again” and then long press the button. It should restart your Chromecast and boot directly to Google TV without any issues.

If this is not the case and you still get the “Data may be corrupt” error on your Google TV, Factory reset your Chromecast. When you do this you will boot fine without any errors. To avoid the frequent boot error of Google TV, when you reboot, make sure to update the OS build to the latest version.
