You can change the Apple Watch face and customize what you see on the Apple Watch when you look at it. This makes it easy to see the most important information at a glance and lets you customize it with a new photo every time you glance at your wrist.
There are still no third-party Apple Watch faces, but you can quickly change Apple Watch faces and customize the Apple Watch face color and information you see on it, called complications. Change the face to match your style or Apple Watch strap.
It’s easy to create a few Apple Watch faces that you use for work, rest, or dressing and then quickly switch between them. Apple offers a variety of Apple Watch faces to choose from, and we usually see new faces coming in every year.
Change Apple Watch Face
You can switch Apple Watch faces very quickly after adjusting by swiping from the right or left edge of the screen to quickly switch between your watch faces.
This is very useful for switching between the Apple Watch faces you have installed and used frequently.
To replace and customize an Apple Watch face, you need to follow these steps;

You can repeat this with other Apple Watch faces as needed. Once saved, you can switch between them by swiping left or right.
Another option is to create a new Apple Watch face from scratch by swiping all the way to the right and tapping New.
In the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, you can change the order of faces and delete faces you no longer want. You cannot edit watch faces on your iPhone.
The Apple Watch app also shows Complications that you can use in the main section known as My Watch. Tap on Complications to see the options. Tap Edit to remove any Complications you don’t want.
Apple Watch face options include;
This face shows the earth during the day and the moon. It shows you the day of the week, date and time. You can choose to see the earth, the moon or the solar system by tapping on the complications. To change the time, scroll with the Digital Crown and see it appear on the screen. You cannot customize complications.
See the time of day and an indication of where the sun is in the sky. You can swipe with the Digital Crown to change the time and see when it is sunrise, noon and sunset.
You cannot customize this dial with complications like many other watch faces.
This is a mock-up of a watch face you might see on an adventurer. You get an analog dial, analog seconds hand, and you can change the color of the hands as well as the style of the analog watch face. To add to this, there are three complications you can choose from; two small and one large.
The Activity watch face displays your rings front and center so you can track your Movement Goal, Exercise, and Standing. This is available in digital or analog using individual watch faces. You can add three Apple Watch Complications. Depending on the face, you can change the color of the watch or hands.
Change the dial details so you can track the time exactly how you need it and then choose the face color. You can show this face four different Complications and make it one of the most versatile faces. You are limited to the smaller Complication style only.
This is a standard analog watch face that lets you change colors. You can choose the color of the facial highlights and add four complications to that face. You can also turn off all Complications for another version of simple watch face.
Kaleidoscope
This is a newer Apple Watch face that moves when you lift your wrist to wake it up, which you can change by swiping the digital crown. Select a color style and then a pattern in the customization options and then you can customize the three complications.
Choose Mickey or Minnie Mouse for your watch face. Whichever mouse you choose, it will touch the seconds and show the time with the arms.
You can use three Complications with this face, two minor and one major. You cannot change Mickey or Minnie’s style or any of their choices.
Modular is the Apple Watch face with the most customization thanks to support for the Five Complications.
Choose this face if you want to do a lot of smartwatch work and have easy access to apps and Apple Watch features.
Motion is a flashy animated Apple Watch face with animations of flowers, jellyfish, or butterflies. When you lift it to wake you will see a different item and a small amount of movement. You can select the day and/or date from the middle of the screen and select the other two complications.
The numbers show you the current time as a large number. You can change the font style and control the color. There are hands for full time and one second hand.
You can only add one Complication to this minimalist Apple Watch face.
Select Photos and you’ll see a different photo when you look at your Apple Watch. These are taken from photos synced to your Apple Watch and are your favorites in most cases. You can add two complications and choose to put the time at the top or bottom of the screen.
This is a Pride celebration watch face that matches the Pride band Apple sells. When you lift it to wake it up, the stripes flutter before becoming straight lines.
You can use two Complications, small at the top and larger at the bottom.
This is a minimalist Apple Watch face that you can style and add lots of options if you want. You can simplify it with just one color per second and choose how many dial details you want. You can add up to four complications and the day/date or keep it very simple.
The Siri watch face shows a series of details that Siri currently thinks are important to you. This includes the clock, weather changes, upcoming meetings, news alerts and more. You can change the two complications and every time you look at your watch you see something new.
This is a useful watch face if you like to see a lot of information and don’t mind scrolling, but for some users it hides the information they want at the bottom.
This cool watch face shows a quick time lapse when you lift your Apple Watch to wake it up, you can choose which scene to show and two complications.
This is a stunning option with the time slots of Mack Lake, New York, Hong Kong, London, Paris or Shanghai.
Similar to the Micky Mouse clock face, this one lets you choose your favorite Toy Story character that will tell you the time and bring it to life with funny moves. Choose from a mix or choose Buzz, Woody or Jessie. If you select Toy Box, you will see various Toy Story characters. You can touch the screen to see various animations. Support for Two Complications.
Utility is a simple Apple Watch face that lets you choose the dial style, the color of the seconds hand, and comes with support for three complications.
It’s a simple option, but one that many people love.
This is a very large font Apple Watch face. This is great if you have trouble reading the Apple Watch and want to know the time at a glance. You can change the color, but not add any complications.
