Auto Answer Phone Calls in iOS 11 1

Auto Answer Phone Calls in iOS 11

Most of us regularly miss phone calls, and this is nothing new. This usually happens because we are busy with some work or we are a little late in answering the call. Personally, I missed so many calls while eating because my hands were so dirty and I couldn’t pick up the phone right next to the table. It looks like Apple has offered a solution with the new iOS 11 update earlier this week. They introduced a new feature hidden deep in the iOS settings and when enabled, your iPhone will automatically receive all incoming calls after a certain amount of time that you can set accordingly. These include calls made over your carrier network as well as VoIP calls which are impressive to say the least. If you’re keen on using this feature, let’s take a look at how to auto-answer phone calls in iOS 11:

Note: I tried this on my iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 6s, but it should work on older iPhones as well as the new iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X.

Enable Auto Answer Calls in iOS 11

As mentioned earlier, this nifty new feature is buried deep within the iOS settings, but you can easily enable it in a matter of seconds if you follow the steps carefully:

  • go Settings on your iPhone and go to: “General” settings. When done, tap on “Accessibility”.

  • Here, scroll down a bit in the accessibility section and tap on it. “Call Voice Forwarding”. Now you can continue “Auto Answer Calls” episode.

  • In this menu you can: Use the toggle to enable or disable the “Auto Answer Calls” feature feature. After enabling it, you can set the amount of time your iPhone should wait until the call is answered automatically. By default, this is set to 3 seconds, but you can select anywhere from 0 to 60 seconds by tapping the “+” and “-” icons.

iPhone Can Receive Your Calls Automatically With This Feature

Apple introduced many new features in iOS 11 and I personally found this feature to be one of the most useful. Now you don’t have to worry about the dirty hand preventing you from getting phone calls from your boss or loved ones. Also, if you’re too lazy to answer phone calls, this is a great feature to take advantage of. What makes this feature stand out is its ability to customize the amount of time your iPhone must wait before answering a call. That said, instead of digging deep into the iPhone’s settings, we’d love if there was a quick toggle in the Control Center to enable/disable it. So, have you enabled auto-answer calls or am I the only lazy one here? We’d love to know what you think, let us know in the comments section below.
