what if you used AirPods with your Android smartphone ? Apple is known for its ecosystem in general and for locking its products with a padlock. Therefore, it is impossible to use an Apple Watch with anything other than an iPhone or iPad. And yet the Cupertino company seems to have broken the rule with its AirPods. It is indeed possible to connect them to any Bluetooth compatible device. Sound quality remains the same as for Apple devices.
On the other hand, we lose some features of AirPods in passing. No notifications about battery status are displayed on your Android smartphone (but you will hear a sound when the AirPods need to be charged). In addition to AirPods, features such as automatically pausing the song when removing an earphone or operations performed when tapping the earphone (personal assistant, play/pause, next track, etc.) are lost. Of course, as the super simplified pairing process on iPhones and iPads. Therefore it must be paired manually!
