Boom Beach is a fun RTS style game for iPhone and iPad from the same company that made the popular Clash of Clans game. This isn’t the same type of strategy game as command-and-conquer, but it’s a fun fix for mobile gamers who want to control an army in island-based combat.
Boom Beach is set in an island setting where in-game currencies such as gems, gold and diamonds play a central role in building your defenses, building an offense and improving abilities. This is nothing new for strategy games, but Boom Beach is extremely inclined to make the player spend real world money on in-app purchases to get more gems, which can buy extra resources and speed up the game. Boom Beach is still fun to play, but anyone playing will want to spend cash to avoid waiting between moves.
If you want to progress faster and unlock new buildings, weapons and troops without spending real money, you must use these Boom Beach tips and tricks to have more fun and progress faster.
Currently no Boom Beach cheats are available and turning the clock forward will trigger a notification that a building has been completed, but it will still be running when you return to the game. No combination of changing the clock and opening or closing the game will work as a Boom Beach cheat to build faster.

Since there are no Boom Beach cheats, you will need to work on your Boom Beach strategy with these tips to have more fun and progress.
Attack During Build
It can take up to two hours to upgrade or add a building as you progress, so it’s important to keep exploring and attacking as you build. You can create new troops when building and upgrading in Boom Beach, but you can’t craft new ships, so keep that in mind.
Multitask while playing Boom Beach.
In addition to multitasking, make sure the last action you take before quitting the game is to start a build or upgrade that will take some time. If you use notification, you’ll get alerts when you can jump in and start another building or upgrade.
Convert Trees to Timber
In the early stages of Boom Beach, gold is plentiful, but wood is a hot commodity. If you try to build something for which you don’t have enough wood, the game will offer to sell you materials using Diamonds, but keep in mind that diamonds are something you’ll have to buy with real money down the road.
Tap a tree and shovel 600 gold into 300 lumber. This is a pretty fair trade-off in the early part of the game, especially if you build more housing and free villages to keep the gold flowing.
Upgrade ASAP
Upgrade your headquarters, economy, sniper turrets, and landing craft, and you’ll gain access to new crew members, better combat capacity, and faster returns on wood and gold production.
Boom Beach Upgrades are the fastest way to success.
Upgrading the Headquarters is a great place to start as it will unlock all buildings. If you start doing this early, you can get up to level 5 where things start to open up more.
Use Boom Beach Diamonds Wisely
Diamonds are non-renewable in-game currency. We’ll explain how to get some more Diamonds, but expect a small amount to entice players to spend money on a free Boom Beach game.
It may not make sense to use 7 Diamonds to instantly complete a building, but if you need to start something else, you can exchange 1-2 diamonds later in the build process for an instant gratification. That’s a much better spending decision.
Discover and Build a Radar
You can create a radar as soon as possible. This allows you to see more of the map and open it up for exploration. After exploring you can attack and unlock gold, wood and medals. Unlocking parts of the map costs gold, but there is always more gold in these locations.
Use the Boom Beach radar to unlock more of the world.
Look for an opportunity to raise the radar to expand your exploration. Be smart and find a way to do this once you’ve unlocked about half of the map with first-level Radar so you don’t have to wait until later. Tap a building to see its upgrade options and price.
Reconnaissance Before Attack
It’s tempting to launch an attack, but if you don’t know what it looks like, you can lose your soldiers and waste time and resources. Use the free exploration option to see if you can take an island before spending gold with an attack that fails or you need to retreat.
New gunners are easy, fast and cheap to build, but heavy gunners take more time, use them wisely. Eventually you will be able to direct the artillery with the flare.
Attack Base and Avoid Weapons
Once, you can cleverly direct your troops to attack to save life resources and time. There are many times when you can direct troops to pick up a single weapon, go around the enemy and out of range of other weapons and capture headquarters to win the war.
Avoid weapons to attack with less casualties.
Doing so also gains more wood and materials from surviving structures.
Get Free Boom Beach Diamonds
There are two ways to get free Boom Beach diamonds. Both take some time and in-game resources, but are better than paying with real money.

Tap the three star icon in the top left to see the achievements. Unlocking them will earn you free Boom Beach diamonds.
The next road is to explore the map. Finally, you’ll stumble upon a chest of free Boom Beach diamonds that will help you get to the fun parts faster.
Build a Good Defense
Once you start playing Boom Beach, you don’t have to worry about attacks, but eventually other computer characters and players will attack you.
Good defense is key in Boom Beach.
Start with a perimeter defense, but soon you will need to protect the center of your base so that it does not remain open to attackers passing a sniper tower.
Look at the islands you’ve been beaten to and learn from their weaknesses. Multiple layers of defense with various types of weapons will best serve the players.
You Can Move Buildings Later
Unlike traditional strategy games, it is possible to move the buildings later. This means that as the base grows, you can rearrange it to protect the headquarters and other resources without spending twice as much gold and wood.
Tap a building and then drag to move it around on the map.
Raise Attackers
Upgrade gunboats and landing craft whenever possible. Doing so allows them to carry more soldiers or shoot faster or more often. This makes it easier to attack more difficult islands and you will lose fewer soldiers.
Upgrade your offense for a better fight.
Upgrading the warship takes away from building a new one, but it’s well worth it. The same goes for landing craft.
Assault Ammo Replenishes, Use
When you attack an island, blowing up some buildings will give you more ammo for the warship. You can use it as a flare to divert troops or as artillery to destroy things.
If you get it, use it. The new ammo will not go into the next attack. Just make sure you use it wisely or you’ll run out very fast.
Increase Your Vault
A safe might seem like an unnecessary expense at first, but once your base is hacked, you’ll regret not building one. After creating the vault, proceed to upgrade the vault for more protection.
The better the vault, the more gold, timber and supplies you will get after losing an attack on your base. And you will need it to rebuild and prepare for other attacks.
