Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: players love to “cheat” by building giant bridges

If you own a Nintendo Switch, you’ve probably spent most of your weekend watching The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Since Friday, social networks have only been talking about Nintendo’s latest nugget and the endless gaming possibilities it offers. The latter is, first of all, the fruit of the power of Emprise, which allows you to put things together.

Also, social networks are full of videos showing the craziest creations of gamers, as well as bridges. To be honest, there are a lot of bridges as the community considers them the perfect solution to many of the game’s problems. Do you need to cross a huge chasm to reach a new area? Build bridge. Need to solve a tricky puzzle in a temple? Probably enough to build a bridge.

Bridges, the miracle solution in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

While these may be considered cheats, Nintendo has certainly thought of other methods to override the issues presented to players. But if that were the case, the Power of Grip would certainly not offer such a possibility. Tears of the Kingdom director Hidemaro Fujibayashi says this himself in an interview with Polygon: “Cheating can be fun.”

Often times, bridges are not the only possible solution to achieving your goals. This is also the beauty of the game: a problem often has several solutions. So it’s up to you whether you want to be creative or use shortcuts to reach your goal. One need not be the opposite of the other.
