Warzone PDS Field Upgrade announced

The Warzone PDS Field Upgrade – or Personal Decontamination Station to name it – is a new item players can collect to protect themselves from the new and deadly Nebula V gas. With the arrival of Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 2, it was revealed that this poisonous gas was produced by the Axis forces, and Nebula V items can now be used by players. If you find yourself in this gas, you need to know how the Warzone PDS Field Upgrade works and where you can find it.

How does Warzone PDS work?

Warzone PDS is a new Zone Upgrade item that any player can buy and use. Introduced with Nebula V gas items in Season 2, the Personal Decontamination Station acts as a counter against gas, creating a temporary shelter by spraying filtered air into a small area.

In the game, the device is placed on the ground like a Trophy System and will instantly start blasting fresh air for about 13 seconds before self-destructing. You will see a large white ring representing the safe area that the PDS has created around it. Stay inside and it will protect you from damage and visual effects of any Nebula V gas or even moving gas from Nebula V Ammo or Bombs. Any player familiar with the Heat Shield element in Apex Legends will intuitively understand how PDS works in Warzone.

As with any Field Upgrade, you can only carry one at a time. The PDS can also be destroyed once deployed, so be aware of enemy squads that may prematurely terminate your Nebula V gas immunity by targeting the PDS. Many other things have been added and changed in Season 2, and you can check them all out in the Warzone patch notes.

Where can I find Warzone PDS?

The PDS Field Upgrade is so rare, not only because Nebula V equipment isn’t that common, but it would be so powerful if squads could survive the gas clouds that piled on PDSs and sealed the battle royale arena.

Your best chance of finding them lies at the new Chemical Factory Point of Interest (POI) – although it’s simply referred to as ‘The Factory’ on the game map – or one of the seven hidden, underground Research Labs roughly marked. with yellow, drawn circles on the map. Search through item chests to find one, or kill another player to get theirs.

PDS Field Upgrades are relatively common but still extremely difficult to find, as both types of locations are hotspots for Nebula V events. If you’re playing with a team, at least one of you should be able to find a PDS and definitely stick with it for some emergency gas protection while the match is in progress.
