There is currently no offline mode for V Rising, but it looks like one will be added in an update very soon. There’s some miscommunication here: V Rising is currently on its own. Steam page where players can “play locally alone”, but there is currently no option for this, it requires players to be on servers at all times, even if there’s no one else on them and they’re playing by themselves. We’ll explain this shortly, but currently TL:DR version: no, there is no offline mode for V Rising.
Does V Rising have an offline mode?
As mentioned, there is no offline mode for V Rising at the time of writing, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a highly requested feature. V Rising has proven very popular on Steam since its release, but many are looking for new ways to play, not limited to the quality of their internet connections. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t seem to adapt to this at the moment, as any type of game requires being online, even if you’re on your own or on your own private server.

Many players are asking about the status of playing offline and the ability to play on a private server that is absolutely not connected to the Internet. Currently the game does not allow this, but our intentions do.

This quote originated on the 18th, but again, the offline mode was not added to V Rising at the time of writing (we even checked this page while writing it to verify). Until then, players will need to update in the near future and also follow the official channels of Stunlock Studios developers.
