When The Sims 4 was almost ten years old, The game is still in great shape, especially thanks to the regular release of additional content. For those of you who haven’t had a chance to try EA’s game yet, we have good news for you.
Indeed, EA announcedStarting October 18, the base game will be free for everyone. On PC, Mac, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. For PC and Mac owners, the game will be available for free via EA, Origin or Steam apps. Again, You will always have to pull out your wallet if you want to get the DLCs.

Sims 4 DLCs still payable
A free-to-play model is likely to work well for The Sims. While the base game was the heart of the experience, it was only a small part of the ecosystem. The number of premium add-on content packs and bundles available is staggeringand EA intends to continue to develop, launch and sell new ones.
EA also planned Some bonuses for players, including EA Play and EA Play Pro members. They will receive special packs as part of an additional offer and base game. EA Play members will have access to the Get To Work expansion, and EA Play Pro members will also receive the Toddler Stuff Pack.

This offer is valid until October 17th, so if you’re feeling pressured to buy the base game for any reason, now is the time to do so.
Given EA and Maxis’ ambition to continue supporting the game for many more years to come, we imagine:a new Sims 5 title won’t be coming for a long time. This announcement also comes just after EA announced a new system to deal with cheaters on PC.
