‘The Last of Us’: Part 3 of the game may be in development, according to rumors

Rumors about the development of part 3 of the game “The Last of Us” have been circulating since the release of part 2. These rumors have intensified even more this year, especially after the success of the television adaptation of the series by HBO.

While no concrete announcements have been made yet, a new rumor suggests that developer Naughty Dog is already starting motion capture filming later this year. And the rumors don’t stop there, as one character is expected to play an even more important role in the story.

Ellie should be the focus of ‘The Last of Us’ part 3

The information was leaked by Twitter user ViewerAnon, who has repeatedly stated that “The Last of Us Part 3” is in development. Thus, in his series of tweets on the subject, he mentions that Ellie is at least as important in “The Last of Us Part 3” as she was in Part 2. Check it out:

“Look, it’s still early, story details are being tweaked and anything that’s potentially up in the air can change, but I assure you that I’ve heard that Ellie is more important in ‘Last of Us Part 3’ than she was in Part 2.”

This information isn’t all that revealing, since Ellie has been a major character in the first two games. Despite suffering some losses at the end of Part 2, she is alive and plays an important role.

It’s highly unlikely that she won’t play a significant role in the upcoming game, although, as noted by ViewerAnon, the story is reportedly still in development at this stage.

The most interesting part comes right after the post, when ViewerAnon claims that major filming is taking place this year.

It is not entirely clear what the insider meant by that, but another user asks if they are referring to motion capture. So he answers that they are recording audio and video.

What’s coming? Let’s wait for a statement from Naughty Dog, for now.
