Well, another convenient solution is to subscribe to Playstation Plus Premium to take advantage of the PS3 games catalog. Regarding the emulation of PS4 games, the projects are still in their infancy and there is no stable software at the time of writing these lines. And let’s not even mention the PS5. But developer InoriRus, This ambitious project builds an emulator for both consoles.
The first PS4/PS5 emulator, Kity, is released
Baptized Kit, already available for download GitHub. Be warned though, the software is still in an early stage of development and don’t expect to run Demon’s Souls or Redemption & Clank: Rift Apart at 4K 60 FPS with Ray Tracing enabled on your PC.
Don’t count on running the latest PS4 games either.. For now, the performance is not very clear, as we can see in the video shared by InoriRus, with an average of 15-20 FPS in PS4 game Worms WMD.
Also, the developer states that Kity does not support audio in/out, MP4 video format, network playback, and multi-user. And for now, cannot launch commercial PS5 games. This is the third PS4 emulator in development alongside Spine and GPCS4.
