In an interview with GameInformerproduction developers discussed the new features of game and they emphasized that achieving all the badges was a challenge even for the development team.
“It will really be a big challenge to collect all the badges; So if you feel confident in your Mario gaming skills, I implore you to give it a try,” said Mouri.
The game will have the addition of badges, which are items obtained during gameplay on maps and grant various abilities to playable characters.

One of the game’s creators also stated that he had successfully completed all the games in the “Mario” series that he helped develop, except “Super Mario Bros. Wonder”, in which he needed help finishing it because of its high-level stages.

“Super Mario Bros. Wonder” is a 2D co-op platformer with classic playable characters like Princess PeachPrincess Daisy, Yoshi, Mario, Luigi and Toad.
It introduces Mario’s new power, transforming him into Elephant Mario, and will be released on October 20th this year for Nintendo Switch.
