Something new is coming to the universe of Sonic. During an interview for the Game InformerTakashi Iizuka, the head of the “Sonic” franchise, revealed that a new villain will be introduced in “Sonic Superstars”.
Although not many details have been released about the character, it is already known that she will be a villain completely different from the others in the franchise and will be called Trip.
During the interview, Iizuka spoke a little more about the new antagonist:
“The team wanted to show that Trip isn’t your usual enemy, and we wanted to introduce her in a way that wasn’t the obvious way of, ‘Oh, I’m super strong.’”
Iizuka continues saying:
“When we introduce Trip at the beginning, I think she kind of falls flat on her face the first scene you see her. The first thing I think people are going to think is, ‘Who is she and why is she a super strong villain? What’s going on?’ We wanted to introduce the character that way to make her different from how enemies have always been presented in Sonic games,” he concludes.
New emotions and classic sensations
In “Sonic Superstars”, players will be able to venture through mystical islands known as Northstar Islands, the game classified as action and adventure allows you to play with several characters from the franchise, namely: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy Rose.
