PS5: A major update brings Dolby Atmos support and 8TB external SSDs

Today is the time for Sony to make these new features generally available; If that’s not the case yet, via a new update that’s expected to arrive on your console soon.

In addition to Dolby Atmos and external SSDs, new accessibility features and changes to social functions are also included in the program. A quick overview.

A small notable plugin, it is also possible to activate Haptic feedback from your controller in system menus of PS5. Your Dualsense will then react organically when you reach the end of the scroll section, check a box, or receive a notification. Here’s how to benefit from it:

Finally, some changes were made to the interface, especially in the social section. Players can now see Preview of one of your friends’ broadcast before joining it or Reacting to messages with emojis. It is also possible to: Search for a game in your game library by typing its name.
