PS5 game sharing and how to assign primary PS5 console

How to assign primary PS5 console? If you own or switch consoles multiple times, you need to know how to set up your games to share between accounts. It’s a useful feature for those who need it, and definitely annoying for those who don’t know how to set it up – but we’re here to help.

However, it’s not immediately clear how you set up the primary PS5 to activate the process. You’ll need to go to the Console Sharing and Offline Gaming options in the menu to get started, here’s everything you need to know about it and how you can enable PS5 game sharing.

How to set up PS5 game share?

The good news is that although the option has been somewhat hidden and wording has changed a bit, PS5 game sharing is still possible. You now enable Console Sharing and Offline Play instead of setting a particular console as your primary PS5. Go anyway to get started Settings > Users & Accounts > Other and select Console Sharing and Offline Play.

The next screen will enable Console Sharing and Offline Play, allowing you to enable PS5 game sharing for the console you are currently using, but if this is the first PS5 you log in to, it should already be turned on by default. No matter which system you enable Console Sharing and Offline Play on, that system will be able to run your games offline, but on any other PS5 you must be logged in online to access your library.
