Changes don’t stop there
The PlayStation 5’s HD camera, an item desired by many to capture high-definition images, will see its price increase from 6,578 to 7,980 yen.
Likewise, the media control, which enhances the multimedia experience on the console, will have its price increased from 3,278 to 3,980 yen. It is important to highlight that, for now, these price changes apply exclusively to the Japanese market.
The reasons behind these changes still remain a mystery, as Sony has chosen to keep its reasons private. This has generated speculation, with some people believing that exchange rate fluctuations, mainly involving the dollar, or global inflation may be related to these adjustments.
On the other hand, the news of the launch of the PS5 Slim model brought excitement. With notable improvements, such as optimized size and weight, and the introduction of a removable disc reader system, there is great expectation regarding this new feature.
Sony plans for this new model to gradually replace models released in 2020, indicating the possibility of discontinuing older models as supplies run out.
