According to the lawsuit ruling, Arion Kurtaj “remains a high risk to the public due to his abilities and motivations.” The hacker will remain imprisoned in a hospital, as he is unable to go to a regular prison.

According to a BBC report, the young man must be kept under medical supervision until he no longer poses a danger to society.

Hacker wants to continue
When determining compulsory hospitalization, the court also understood that Arion Kurtaj should not be subjected to a traditional trial. The intention was precisely to decide whether he had committed illegal acts, without considering whether he was aware of it.
In the sentence, the jury noted that Kurtaj “continued to express the intention to return to cybercrime as soon as possible. He is highly motivated.”
The decision also took into account the statements of the psychiatrist who accompanies the boy, Claudia Camden-Smith.
