Video games developed in recent times are increasingly interactive and innovative. With realistic graphics, open worlds for exploration and meticulously designed details to satisfy players, they end up winning over many fans around the world.

And while some older franchises have changed their gameplay and aesthetics a lot over the years, others have maintained unique features or even reinvented them.

In this context, some veteran gamers really want to see again a production similar to those played years ago. With this in mind, SEGA recently produced a new version of one of its greatest video game classics.

Acclaimed by many and with a trailer already presented, the company relaunches its hit Blue Hedgehog to the delight of nostalgic fans, with the title “Sonic Superstars”.

Last Thursday (6/8), SEGA announced its new release “Sonic Superstars” and caught the attention of the entire audience at Summer Game Fest 2023. The new production of the successful franchise will feature the same mechanics and gameplay as the old titles.

The release will have a 2D racing aesthetic, just like the classics, but with an incredible look entirely in 3D, giving the game an air of modernity and evolution.

In addition, the game will bring new stages, with an environment full of details where each scenario can be considered a work of art totally different from what we already know.

More news about the game

In the presentation, “Sonic Superstars” received a flashy trailer. In it, several gameplay examples and some new features could be noticed.

For example: new powers of the “chaos emeralds” and unprecedented transformations could be seen, as well as the possibility of walking on the background walls, something not yet seen in the franchise.

In addition to all this, the title will have a cooperative mode, which can be played by up to 4 people at the same time with different characters, such as Tails, Knuckles and Amy Rose, in addition to the Blue Hedgehog.

This is the biggest innovation in the game and now no one has to wait for a mistake or death to pass the controller.

“Sonic Superstars” will arrive worldwide later this year and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One/Series S and X and Nintendo Switch.

The estimated cost is R$299 in Brazil.
