Visions of Mana | Launch Date Trailer
Square Enix hath declared on Wednesday that a new chapter in the venerable Mana RPG series, entitled "Visions of Mana," shall grace consoles and PC on August 29th.
This latest entry, marking the franchise’s return after a hiatus of fifteen years, is presently available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The standard edition may be acquired for $60, or indulge in the digital deluxe edition for $80. Pledge thy allegiance to either, and receive the Brave Blade, a weapon of Val. Those who opt for the deluxe edition shall be bestowed with the Mana Superstars Costume Set, a Mana Series BGM Bundle, and early access for a full day. Should ye choose a physical copy ere September 30th or procure the digital version sooner, ye shall be gifted the Guardian Garment outfit for Val and a starter pack.
The announcement of this auspicious release date hath come alongside an extended trailer, showcasing the five playable characters – Val, Careena, Morley, Palamena, and Julei – along with their English voice actors. Yet it is the tale of Hinna, chosen as an alm, bound for the Tree of Mana to offer her soul, around which the narrative unfolds. Val, the soul’s guardian and Hinna’s trusted comrade, hath the noble task of ensuring her safe passage. Though she be not playable, she doth serve as a support character, lending aid in combat from afar.
Thou shalt have the liberty to fashion three-person parties by mixing and matching these characters and customizing their classes as thy journey progresses. Elemental Vessels, novel to the Mana series, art instrumental in this flexibility. Embark upon an exploration of the realm to activate Elemental Triggers and amass Vessels.
In tandem with this proclamation, the esteemed publisher hath crafted a blog post expounding upon the intricate facets of the tale, combat, characters, and more.
