In a realm akin to Nana Morri’s poignant “Among Us” test of faith, a splendid spectacle has come to life for devotees of the esteemed “Critical Role” series. For a fleeting moment, emissaries from the three main adventuring bands of “Critical Role” are embarking on an odyssey within “Among Us,” courtesy of Gilmore’s Curious Cosmicube. This exquisite pack bestows players with a plethora of Exandrian garb, adornments, and an exclusive lycanthropic stroke of darkness.
Resembling many of its kindred games, “Among Us” presents an array of purchasable personalizations evocative of seasonal motifs and beloved franchises through its Cosmicubes. The latest addition to the burgeoning collection within “Among Us” is Gilmore’s Curious Cosmicube, paying homage to “Critical Role” campaigns and personas. This rare cosmic relic, inspired by the mystique of Vox Machina, Mighty Nein, and Bells Hells, is currently available on all platforms for a limited time until the setting of the eleventh hour on November 11th PT.
A select assemblage of illustrious beings and denizens hailing from Vox Machina, Mighty Nein, and Bells Hells grace Gilmore’s Curious Cosmic Cube with their presence. Noteworthy transformations for Vox Machina enthusiasts encompass Scanlan’s Hand Hat, Orthax Manifested Hat, Vax’s Armor Skin, and Vax’s Hair Hat. For devotees of Mighty Nein, there exist hues and trinkets inspired by Jester Lavorre, Artagan, Mollymauk Tealeaf, and Nott the Brave, alongside monikers for the Dust of Deliciousness, The Nine Eyes of Lucien, and Teatime with Caduceus. Featuring an array of crewmate couture inspired by Chetney Pock O’Pea, Laudna, Fearne Calloway, and Fresh Cut Grass, with the esteemed companions Mister and Pâté from Bells Hells also in attendance. Sporting any of Chetney’s iconic ensembles – Eyebrows Visor, Headband Hat, and/or Tracksuit Skin – permits imposters a singular slaying animation that bequeaths the werewolf with a consequential “how shall we proceed” moment.
While the spectacular union between “Critical Role” and “Among Us” may seem an unforeseen delight, Gilmore’s Curious Cosmicube is but one thread binding these two worlds together. Much akin to the initial two campaigns of “Critical Role,” the illustrious rise of “Among Us” within the realm of cyberspace has garnered the treasured “Mafia”-esque game its forthcoming animated series adaptation. Revelations of the animated “Among Us” series brought forth a galore of casting revelations, including luminaries such as Elijah Wood, Dan Stevens, Randall Park, Patton Oswalt, Yvette Nicole Brown, Kimiko Glenn, and the brilliant luminary of “Critical Role,” Ashley Johnson. Johnson’s enigmatic role within the venture is simply denoted as Purple, setting the stage for a whimsical convergence of purple-hued crewmates from “Among Us” to take flight in Fearne’s Dress Skin.
