The wait for MultiVersus is almost over and we now have an official release date to look forward to in the very near future, so it won’t be long before we all start battling a number of characters from the various Warner Bros. multiverse. If you’ve ever wanted to find out how Harley Quinn would handle a fight with Arya Stark, or see if best friends Jake The Dog and Finn The Human would really go head-to-head if they got into a fight together, then it’s almost time to discover it for yourself. MultiVersus release date July 26, 2022
The MultiVersus release date has now been officially announced as July 26, 2022, and although technically this is the start of the open beta period, you can basically think of it as a soft launch for the full game. If you want to get started even faster, Early Access will be available starting July 19 and will be available to everyone who participates in the MultiVersus closed alpha ending at the end of May 2022. You can also earn an invite for Early Access. MultiVersus is free to play but there will be in-game purchases
The better news is that MultiVersus is free-to-play, so there’s no cost to jump in and try it out when it’s released. As with most F2P games, in-game purchases will be available, but no details have yet been given as to what they will be. The developers confirmed that there will be “future seasons full of content for players to enjoy”, suggesting that a season pass system could be implemented that can unlock characters, outfits and more.
MultiVersus on PS4 and Xbox One
MultiVersus is available on PC via Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X, as well as on PS4 and Xbox One, giving players more options to join the battle. What’s more, MultiVersus will have full cross-play support to allow battles with your friends on different systems, and cross-progression is available so you can move between platforms while keeping the overall progress you’ve made in your account.
