Gabriel, the Thinker is widely known throughout the country for his music. However, what few people know is that Gabriel is also a great Poker player.
The singer recently won his first Brazilian Poker Championship, an event organized by the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP). With this victory, Gabriel took home R$51,500 and many other prizes.
In an interview for the portal SuperPokerthe singer appears very happy and grateful for learning a new activity and for having won this competitive challenge.
“At this point in my life, learning something new, an activity that has a competitive aspect, which was something I didn’t do much, is rewarding. And at the same time I continue to love what I do, which is making music, shows.
I’m going to release a new album in July, I have a lot of work, but I’m glad I got a window to come here.”pointed out Gabriel.

In the competition, the singer proved to be a great Poker player and won the Start-Up Mystery KO tournament, one of the most special moments of the Brazilian Poker Championship.
In addition to the overall prize, participants received a mysterious prize, called a “bounty”, for each player they eliminated. The prizes in these envelopes range from R$500 to R$25,000.
The Brazilian Poker Championship has been held every year since 2006 and is the largest event of its kind in Latin America, with a record 4,161 participants in 2021. This makes it the second largest Poker tournament in the world.
The third stage of the championship took place between June 1st and 6th. However, we have three more stages scheduled for the second half of the year.
In July, the Winter Millions festival will take place. In October, another stage will take place in Foz do Iguaçu, and the BSOP Millions, the largest poker event in the Southern Hemisphere, will take place in November.
