A few days ago, the video game world was shaken up a bit by a shocking announcement from NetherRealm, the studio behind Mortal Kombat: the legendary license will return on September 19. This new work, which is eagerly awaited by the fans of the legend, will reach the hands of some much faster than expected. Indeed, in a recent FAQ, the studio announced that a stress test would be coming soon.
The latter should not be confused with the game’s public beta, which will take place next August. As NetherRealm explains, “The goal is to deliberately highlight our online infrastructure and detect potential issues before the game even starts.” Translation: It’s a matter of verifying that the servers will hold the path the day it goes live.
