Money back! Epic Games Store launches rewards program

Epic Games Store launches cashback system

Epic Games Store, the developer’s online store, launched this Thursday (18/5) a system that returns 5% of the value of any purchase to users.

This will occur both in the form of media purchases, collectible items, and in the purchase of coins to be used within the games. The program has been named “Epic Rewards”.

But that’s not all, as even subscriptions to platform services will be included in the promotion, which will be active permanently.

However, this new program is only available for PC purchases and all cashback received can only be used within your virtual store, as a form of discount on other games, for example.

How can I participate?

The company itself explains:

“All Epic Games account holders will be enrolled in the Epic Rewards program at the time of purchase, so simply purchase any games, apps, add-ons, or virtual currency from the Epic Games Store – even V-Bucks.”

In other words, all users with an account on the site are automatically participating. The money returned has a maximum period of 14 days to enter the players’ accounts and can be used at the time of receipt or even accumulated.

However, people will have a maximum of 25 months from the date of purchase to use this amount in online purchases, after which time the earnings will no longer be in the customers’ virtual wallet.
