Mass Effect endings represent, at least to some extent, the culmination of the decisions you make throughout the story, and that has always been a core tenet of the series. How you behave during the adventure and whether you take the good (Paragon) or bad (Renegade) path will have certain consequences, but when you reach the end of the campaign you will be presented with some critical choices. this directly affects how the story ends for the first episode. As we said before, the Paragon or Renegade floor you create as you progress through the game will affect the outcome to some extent. However, during the climate-appropriate Race Against Time: Final Battle mission, you have a big decision to make regarding the fate of the Council, and what you do there will determine how the story unfolds in general. Mass Effect ending – Save the Council
If you choose to save the Council during the final battle, the Alliance Fleet will be ordered to focus on protecting the Fate Ascension in which the Council was trapped. This effort will be successful and despite a series of casualties, Destiny Ascension was recovered and the Council survived.
During the epilogue, Shepard will be thanked either publicly (Paragon) or privately (Renegade) by councilors of various races. Humanity obtains a seat on the Council, where Shepard must vote to be filled by Captain Anderson or Ambassador Udina. Although Anderson is more of a Paragon and mistaken for the Udina Renegade, your choice makes little difference other than who you’ll briefly encounter as a Council representative in Mass Effect 2.
Mass Effect ending – Die the Council / Concentrate on the Sovereign
However, keep in mind that both of these options have the same result. Let the council die When awarding Renegade points Concentrate on Domination Gives Paragon points.
Choosing one of these options during the final battle will focus the Alliance Fleet’s attack on the Sovereign, despite calls for help via Destiny Ascension’s communication channels. Ultimately, this leads to the destruction of Destiny Ascension by geth forces and the deaths of the Council members.
During the epilogue, Shepard will meet with Captain Anderson and Ambassador Udina, where Udina will outline the plans for humanity to take over the Council. If you have a higher Paragon score, the new Council will still be made up of various races, but a human will be the leader, whereas a higher Renegade score will result in a fully human Council. Shepard is then asked to choose either Anderson or Udina to serve on the Council, but your choice makes little difference and, as with the save the council option, only affects who you encounter as the Council representative in Mass Effect 2. to the greater resentment of other races against humanity in the sequel.
