Fortnite was kicked off the AppStore in 2020. After four years, the game is finally returning to iOS. But Apple didn’t give up any of its leverage, as publisher Epic Games found a way to get involved in a roundabout way: alternative stores.

The European Union is actually forcing Apple to tolerate alternative stores in its ecosystem, which are therefore not controlled by the brand. a boon for Developer Epic announced its partnership with AltStore, one of the independent online stores.
