No, Monster Hunter Rise is not cross-play, there is no chance to save between PS5, Xbox, PC or Switch, and that won’t change anytime soon. Monster Hunter Rise was originally a Switch exclusive, but time, popularity, and success have drawn it to different platforms, so you can now play it on more advanced consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Unfortunately progress doesn’t transfer between these consoles and we don’t see the possibility of that changing. As mentioned, Monster Hunter Rise cross-play and cross-save options are not available on any platform and likely won’t in the future. It’s not clear why this wouldn’t happen, but it’s been a problem since the first port, with Capcom saying that simply cross-play and cross-save won’t transfer to the PC.
