How to solve Genshin Effect Missing Crystal Core puzzle

The Genshin Effect Find Missing Crystal Cores objective is part of a quest called Rhyme and Song: Summer Dream. As it’s the final part of the Summertime Odyssey Event missions, the Crystalline Core puzzles are the only thing standing in the way of completing the story.

As soon as you find Persikov’s Manuscript, you can sail to the Lost Crystal Core locations and solve puzzles. If you have trouble understanding the map or want to complete the Crystal Core puzzle as quickly as possible, here is a guide to help you.

Genshin Effect Crystal Core locations

The Like Rhyme and Song: Summer Reverie quest starts automatically after completing each Event Zone in Summertime Odyssey. In other words, you must first complete the entire Genshin Impact Ancient Azure Stars questline, including Genshin Impact Astral Puzzles.

The quest will take you to the northwest islands in the Golden Apple Archipelago, where you will need to collect Persikov’s Manuscript. A little further north, he’s disguised as a little yellow flame. Pick it up to see the Crystal Core locations.

While finding the Three Missing Crystal Cores is relatively easy, you’ll need to solve a puzzle before you can collect them. Don’t worry though; we’ll show you the Crystal Core puzzle solutions below. They are in the same order as the numbers on our location map.

How to solve the Missing Crystal Core puzzle

If you’d rather solve the Crystal Core puzzles on your own, here’s what to do: Open Persikov’s Manuscript (quest inventory) and activate the steel ball mechanics. Each Crystal Core puzzle has two or three (red crosses on the map).

You can turn the device right or left. As shown in Persikov’s Manuscript, a dot means right and a dash means left. So two dots and a line means that the sphere must be rotated right-right-left.

Here’s how to solve the Missing Crystal Core puzzle west of the Matching Island:

• Turn the device westward in this order: right-left-left.
• Turn the device east: right-right-left.

Puzzle solution for the Missing Crystal Core southwest of Matching Island:

• Device in the north (near the tent): right-left.
• Southwest device (near some rocks): right-left-right.
• Southeast device (closest to water): left-left-right.

And finally, here’s how to solve the Missing Crystal Core puzzles on the smaller island south of the Matching Island:

• Device in the north: left-left-right.
• Device in the south: right-left-right.
