How to play Elden Ring PvP and how to invade players?

Elden Ring PvP can be done through the Colosseum, where you make invasions or structured arena matches, where you crash into other players’ games. Each version of the player versus battle is triggered in its own way and has its own challenges and advantages, and we’ll explain how both work in their own way in our Elden Ring PvP guide below, as well as some tips. how can you win

There are two ways to play PvP in Elden Ring, either by invading players or by getting into the more controlled and fairer chaos of the Colosseum.

  • Invasions. This allows you to get into someone else’s game and try to kill them, the equivalent of Elden Ring co-op and multiplayer systems. You will be there until you kill them or yourself, after which you will be back to your previous game.
  • Colosseum. Colosseum is a game mode where you can go to any of the Elden Ring Colosseum locations listed on the linked page and battle other players in the arenas individually or as a team. At the time of writing there is no structured reward for doing this, but it’s fun and accordingly a good way to test your skills.

The Colosseum is so complex that we’ve created a full Elden Ring Colosseum page on how it works and how you can win there, but below we’ll explain how to invade in PvP and the associated mechanics just below.

There are different ways to invade players in Elden Ring, but you’ll need an online connection to do them all. How you occupy depends on which item you use, and we’ve explained them all below:

  • Bloody Finger. The main way to invade is to use it to attack another player in their world. Even if other players are there, your only goal is to kill “Host of Fingers” (or the player you’re in).
  • The Duelist’s Curled Finger. Use this item to leave a red summoning mark on the ground. Any player who has used Furlcalling Finger Remedy can see it and use it to summon you to battle, duel!
  • Little Red Statue. Use this to send a competitive callsign to any nearby summon pool.
  • The Language of the Mocker. It increases your invasion rate, increases the likelihood of invaders entering your world, and means you can be occupied by two players at the same time. Only for those who are supremely confident or talented.
  • White Password Ring. Using this item automatically sets it up so if you get invaded, someone using the Blue Password Ring will come to protect you (if there’s one around).
  • Blue Password Ring. Using this puts you in a “ready” state. If another player is using the White Cipher Ring and you are ready, you are brought into their world to help them defend against a third invader.

If you’re invading, we advise you to play fair – many players make sure to announce themselves and even a small salute or wave before they start a battle so everyone is ready. You should also make sure you are well equipped for the fights – try using some of our Elden Ring PvP builds to give yourself the best chance.

Killing players in Elden Ring PvP grants the player a certain amount of runes based on the target’s level. immortality How many Runes do they have when they die? But that doesn’t apply to the Colosseum, which at the time of writing doesn’t have any awards, it’s just for fun.

Depending on the player’s actions in their own world, the Bloody Finger can be replaced with items such as the Elden Ring Varre questline, the Recusant Finger, or the Festering Bloody Finger, which report progress in the game.
