How to invite friends in Warzone 2

The Warzone 2 friend list and social menu features don’t work reliably at the moment and might get you back to the main menu, but there’s a workaround for inviting your friends. Warzone 2 has had a pretty solid launch (so far) with no major server issues or terrible glitches to worry about, but being able to team up with friends is currently proving to be an issue. Developer Raven Software is currently investigating the issue, but we have details on a workaround for the Warzone 2 friend list and social menu not working.

Many Warzone 2 players find that their friends list is almost instantly kicked off the main menu, whether accessed by pressing the left stick or opening it from the settings menu. This prevents players from inviting their friends to their squad, but there is a method to get past the broken Warzone 2 friend list and social menu using Channels courtesy of Reddit user. netoxic (opens in new tab). Here’s what you need to do:

1. Press the corresponding button (Options button for PlayStation, Menu button for Xbox) to open the settings and notifications menu in the upper right corner of your screen.
2. Go to the Channels menu, represented by a pair of headphones with a small talk box.
3. Click on your group under Gaming Channels or create your own channel just below and then click Invite to Channel.
4. This brings up your friends list so you can choose players to add to your party channel and invite. Once your friends have joined your channel, you will be able to invite them to your lobby to play together in Warzone 2.

This certainly won’t fix the immediate kickout from the social menus, but at least it will allow you to join your friends so you can navigate the new Warzone 2 map Al Mazrah together.
