Halo Infinite: split screen mode canceled… but still possible to activate!

At its launch in December 2021, Halo Infinite landed on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC without the saga’s two core and iconic features. Namely, Forge mode and online and local co-op mode.

• Go to the Campaign menu in the main menu and upload a new record
• Before clicking play, make sure a friend is online in standby in the Halo Infinite menu.

• Join your friend to form a team (this will cancel the loading of your game)
• Leave the squad immediately
• Go back to the main menu and go to the Custom Games tab, then the Server tab
• Check the Local Offline Game box
• Open one or more controllers and log in to a guest account or another profile on your console
• Click Play

We can then assume that the game will load a multiplayer game. In reality, the header will load the Solo mode save that you tried to leave at the beginning of the process.
