“GTA 5” is a real hit among Rockstar fans, there’s no denying it. And with “GTA Online” going strong over the years, it’s clear that the developer would find a way to make players invest real money in it.
However, what took many people by surprise, especially one player in particular, was the following event. The player, identified as Skraelos on Reddit, ended up making a refund request for $75,000 bucks, “GTA” money, to Rockstar.
This is because he was investing in his bunker within “GTA Online”, but ended up experiencing some kind of bug. Therefore, he sent a refund request to the game developer, in an attempt to recover his investment.
However, what he didn’t expect was for Rockstar to refund him $32,168,889 bucks. To give you an idea, the amount charged for the Megalodon Shark Card, a package that grants around 10 million bucks, costs around $99.99 in real money.
“I bought the bunker supplies and shortly after that my game crashed. When I logged back in I noticed the money was gone but the supplies hadn’t arrived.
I just made a ticket hoping they [Rockstar] could return the money (yes, I am very stingy, even with such a small amount). The next thing I knew, I was greeted by the message on the screen.”

What was Rockstar’s response?
Despite the eagerness to know what Rockstar’s next steps will be in this regard, the developer has not yet made a statement. So much so that player Skraelos stated that he will not touch the refund provided by the company, in order to know what it will do and what the next steps will be.
If this isn’t a stroke of luck, I don’t know what is. Regardless, let’s wait and see how this surprising and unusual story unfolds.
Rockstar is currently working on the successor to “GTA 5”, the long-awaited “GTA 6”. Despite some leaks about the game, there is still not much information about the new game.
