The insertion of artificial intelligence in games is one of the most debated topics currently, especially among members of the gaming sector.
This fact was evident, for example, during the Paley International Council Summit, a foreign event that brought together the big names and developers of the world’s main video games.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, for example, was one of the most anticipated attractions. In the process of launching “GTA 6“, he was asked about the use of AI in games and spoke openly about the subject.
For the executive, the inclusion of this type of technology can add a lot of value to some features and be “fun”.
Strauss assesses that NPCs can become more “interesting” with the use of artificial intelligence skills.
“Everyone is working on it. You are a playable character, interact with the non-playable character. This interaction is currently scheduled. And the non-playable characters are generally not very interesting. We could imagine all the NPCs becoming really interesting and fun,” he explained.

Strauss’s speech, of course, opens the door to various understandings. Those who watched it were wondering about the possible insertion of AI mechanisms in “GTA 6”.
The executive, however, calmed expectations and misled. When asked about this, he simply said:
“I can confirm that Rockstar is working on the next installment in the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ franchise.”
The CEO of Take-Two declared to investors, during the presentation of the quarter’s financial results, that a new era is on the way and that everything indicates the launch of titles that will dominate the market.

‘GTA 6’ arrives in 2025
Expectations are high around GTA 6. The trailer will be officially revealed in December, but it will still take a while for the game to be available for sale.
What is being said behind the scenes is that the launch will only take place in 2025.
This possibility confirms what had already been speculated. Initial planning indicated that the game could be released in 2024, but there was an internal decision to postpone the launch to improve the graphics quality and how the game works.
