God of War continues the tradition of pushing console hardware to its limits with every installment. The new game Ragnarök takes full advantage of Sony’s latest console PS5 to deliver an astonishing level of performance, but But Santa Monica developers have not forgotten the older generation.

The PS4 Pro is unfortunately not included, but this gives us a better idea of the evolution gamers can expect as they transition to the latest generation consoles.
The game is great on PS5, but still in the belly of PS4
In its video, GameSpot compares the PS4 version in 1080p to the PS5 version in 4K in quality mode. This is one of the multiple graphics mods available in Sony’s headset. Several sequences have been suggested, be it fights or even cutscenes.
As you can see in the video below, the game looks simply stunning on PS5 and clearly demonstrates what the console is capable of. Whether in terms of lighting or particle effects, Sony offers us a very successful game in terms of graphics.
While we thought 2013’s PS4 might not be able to support such a title, it doesn’t. Santa Monica studio possibly optimized his game very well. That’s why the PS4 version has little to envy that of the next generation. we notice some differences in lighting, or even in details like Kratos’ beard or clothesbut this release will delight fans of the franchise.
