Gamer rhythm: the biggest musical hits on consoles in 2023

O Spotifyalways up to date with trends, revealed a fascinating list of the songs most listened to by gamers in Brazil and around the world, based on plays recorded on consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox.

In a diverse musical panorama, trap conquered the podium in Brazil, while globally rap and hip-hop stole the spotlight.

On the national scene, the São Paulo rapper Veigh stood out, reaching first position in the ranking global Top Albums Debut with the album ‘Dos Prédios Deluxe’.

Veigh not only remained among the most listened to in Brazil, but also won the title of number one artist on devices, with the track ‘Novo Balanço’ and led the reproductions on consoles in the 14th most listened position in Brazil.

Veigh was not limited to Brazilian soil – his albums ‘Dos Prédios’ (third most listened to in Brazil) and ‘Dos Prédios Deluxe’ (fifth most listened to in Brazil) also dominated reproductions via console in Portugal, Angola and Cape Verde.

In this way, the Brazilian rapper managed to surpass giants like Drake, leader of the global ranking of most listened to artists on console and the fourth most listened to artist in the world in 2023.
