Everything we know about MultiVersus Season 1

MultiVersus Season 1 is coming soon, with new character Morty Smith, a ranked mode, and more cosmetics in a new battle pass. Unfortunately, Season 1 was recently delayed and the new release date has yet to be announced, which means players will have to wait a little longer to get Morty and some new cosmetics. Rick will also join the metaversal challenge at some point in Season 1, giving players another mage character to try out. While details are a bit sparse at the moment, here’s everything we know about what’s going on in MultiVersus Season 1.

MultiVersus Season 1 release date

There is no confirmed release date for MultiVersus Season 1 yet. It was originally scheduled to come out on August 9, but has been delayed to an indefinite date. Inside chirp (opens in new tab) From the MultiVersus page detailing the new content, the Season 1 announcement date is apparently coming “very soon.” Based on vague information, we think MultiVersus Season 1 will launch at some point in August 2022, but be sure to follow the MultiVersus Twitter page and other social platforms to stay updated.

Rick and Morty as new MultiVersus characters

Joining the roster of MultiVersus characters in Season 1 is Morty Smith and Rick Sanchez. Morty was due to launch with Season 1 on August 9, but since the opening season has been delayed, so is Morty’s release date, hopefully it’s not too far off. Nothing is known about Rick’s release date, but we’re assuming he’ll be in mid-Season 1 to spice up the game for mid-season.

Morty will be part of the Bruiser class and will be an Expert level fighter, making him a difficult melee brawler to master. We also expect elements of the move set to include the incredibly muscular arm he got in the TV show. Meanwhile, Rick will be joining Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny in the Mage/Ranged class, and it’s likely that the dimensional portal gun will play a big part in their fighting moves – possibly a plumbus and a schmorploid. well.

We don’t know of any other characters coming to MultiVersus Season 1, but there are a few rumored characters that are likely to appear in the next season.

New MultiVersus Ranked and Classic Arcade modes

Season 1: Two new modes are coming to MultiVersus with the launch of Ranked and Classic Arcade. Unfortunately, these names are all we know at the moment. Based on other games, Ranked mode will almost certainly include MultiVersus 1v1 confrontations, with players battling to battle other players of similar skill levels to see who is the best.

However, the Classic Arcade mode is much less obvious. Maybe it includes AI-controlled fighters, and it could be like a Mortal Kombat-style Tower mode where players have to battle increasingly difficult AI opponents to reach the top of the tower. Hopefully more details about these mods – specifically how Ranked works – will be revealed soon.

MultiVersus Season 1 battle pass

Season 1 will also get a new battle pass that will be much larger than the preseason for players to work on. Costing 950 Gleamium, this pass will contain 50x cosmetics and items. The Season 1 Snapshot shows off new Batman, House Stark, and Rick and Morty-themed icons, new posters, and new skins, including a Robin skin for LeBron James.
