Elden Ring merchant places are everywhere, from common intersections to secret catacombs that no one has passed through for years. These merchants usually have common stocks – arrows and some sort of crossbow bolts – but they also sell various unique items specific to that merchant or rare enough special items that you’ll want to know where to find them. Therefore, below we’ll show you where to find all Elden Ring trader locations and any notable stocks they hold.
All Elden Ring seller locations
We found twelve wandering nomadic traders around the Elden Ring and the Lands Between, but this discounts all special NPCs selling other items like Patches, Rogier, Brother Coryhn, and Blacksmith Iji. For one thing, custom NPC traders aren’t as straightforward as they usually are. Only Traders need a boss fight or are dealing with a very specific stock and also tend to stick around – they either go to Round Table Hold or even get out of there. See maps for where to find vendors, and read on for specials they have in stock.
Merchant locations in Limgrave, Caelid, Dragonbarrow, Weeping Peninsula and Liurnia (South)
- Located below the Liurnia Lake Shore of Grace, this merchant is good for aspiring mages – they sell Astrologer’s Staff, Estoc, a good Kite Shield and Astrologer’s armor set, as well as a Lantern.
- Probably the first trader you’ll find, your friend at Elleh Church sells a Cracked Pot, Telescope, multiple cookbooks, and Chain armor set as well as the vital Crafting Kit.
- Very close to the start, below the Beach Cavern, here you can buy a Short Bow, a Broad Sword (a great starting weapon), and even a simple Club.
- In the Isolated Merchant Hut of the Weeping Peninsula, this merchant is selling a Lantern, two Stone Sword Keys, a huge sword named Zweihander, and a Lost Battle Ashes.
- Located right next to the Castle Mone Rampart Grace District, this well-stocked merchant has a notable variety of gear. A Cracked Pot, Stone Sword Key, Bastard Sword, Light Crossbow, Iron armor set, and a Talisman that increases your maximum health are all here.
- At the edge of the forest, east of the Misty Woods Ruins, this stealth merchant features the Lily of Trina, a Hand Ax weapon, some shields, various meat-themed crafting items, and St. He’s selling Trinia’s Arrows.
- In the Isolated Merchant Hut in Dragonbarrow, this merchant has some useful gear – a Ritual Pot, two Lost Ashes of War, a Spiked Caestus punch weapon, and the entire Land of Reeds (or Samurai) armor set.
- Check out the junction that winds under the Aeonian Marsh and connects to the road to Redmane Castle next to the Map Fragment sign. The Merchant sells there a Stone Sword Key, a Cracked Pot, a Champion armor set, and a good Greathelm helmet.
- This trader is actually underground, in the catacombs northeast of the Siofra River. You can access this area via the East of Mistwood elevator, then head to the open-air climbable pier and climb and wander around the ruins. They sell a Larval Tear and three Stone Sword Keys. If you don’t know why tears are so valuable (and they are), check out our guide to Elden Ring and the Larval Tears system.
Gelmir Mountain, Altus Plateau, Leyndell, Giants Mountaintops, and merchant places in Liurnia (North)
- Just north of Bellum Church Grace District, head to the cliff edge and look below to see this merchant under a rock ledge. They are selling Three Rune Arcs
- Right next to the Greatbridge Crossing the Forest Grace District, on the collapsed bridge next to the portal. They sell Three Stone Sword Keys, various good shields, and a large Tree Surcoat body armor.
- While the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins is right next to the Grace Zone, you’ll need to wander and horseback ride on the east side of the cliffs next to the Shack of the Lofty. Then, follow the winding road on the South side to reach this merchant who sells three Rune Bows, Three Stone Sword Keys, and Vagabond Knight armor sets.
How to find merchants on Elden Ring
Merchants in Elden Ring are scattered all over the map, and some are much more lurking than others. However, they all look so similar, they just have color changes in their outfits to distinguish them. The Kalé at Elleh Church can give you an idea of what to look for – it helps you mark them alongside campfires, the usual mules, tasseled headdresses, and sometimes a few boxes or bags thrown around. They’re always worth finding – their stocks mark some important Elden Ring armor locations or an easy way to get some Elden Ring Stone Sword Keys.
When you find a trader, don’t forget to put a mark on the map! There are a hundred in total to let go, and you’ll thank yourself later for doing it.
You’ll also find other characters, like the Sorcerer Rogier, who sell you stuff but tend to be more specialized than the standard traders you encounter. Many of these peddlers will at some point go to the Roundtable, a handy central area for convenience, especially early in the game.
