These last years single player games are back in the EA catalogLike Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order or even Mass Effect Legendary Edition, but it remains a very sensitive subject. A few weeks ago, the publisher angered gamers and many developers with a tweet that disparaged single-player games. Today, EA takes a step back, reaffirming its love for solo video game experiences.
Single player games are important to EA
At an investor meeting, CEO Andrew Wilson said EA would continue to bet on single player games :
“What we think about our solo games is that they represent a very, very important part of our catalog (…). We review our community and watch how they spend their time (…). Then we try to complete it with the addition of new online games, multiplayer games or single player games. »
