New Destiny 2 Season 19 events
Season of the Seraph brought several new activities to Destiny 2, most notably the Heist Battlegrounds missions and playlist. These missions see you investigate Rasputin’s secret Seraph Bunkers to save them from enemies and get some new weapons and armor. There’s also more added with the new Spire of the Watcher Dungeon and Season of the Seraph:
- Robbery Battlegrounds: A three-player Battlegrounds playlist event structured a bit like Strike. During these heists, you’ll need to infiltrate a Seraph Bunker, purge Xivu Arath’s powers, and defeat a boss to get a piece of Warmind and of course some loot. You can spend 500 Seraph Keycodes to open the optional Seraph Chest at the end of a Heist Battlegrounds mission to obtain Seraphic Umbral Energy, which is used to focus extra Seraph armor or weapons and Umbral Engrams on Seraph gear in HELM’s Exo Frame. The rewards for Heist Battlegrounds completions increase in Legend difficulty.
- Operations: These are short missions for up to three players that serve as the main way to progress through the Season of the Seraph story each week and allow you to contribute to Rasputin’s rebuilding. Operations are added as part of the weekly Seasonal Mission “More than a Weapon” and can only be completed once per character. After completing the operation, you will be able to choose a reward from the Exo Frame in HELM.
- Override Frequencies: Talk to Exo Frame to collect the Resonance Amp device used to convert the four Resonate Stems into an Override Frequency – Resonate Stems have a chance to drop before completing any activity. After using the Resonance Amplifier to get the Override Frequency, check the text box for a clue to the location of the Warmind device anywhere in the solar system. Locate the device while patrolling the respective destination and interact with it to get a piece of Seraph gear in return, and if you have more Resonate Stems you can generate another Override Frequency.
- The Watchtower: A new three-player, endgame-level Dungeon with its own set of armor and weapons. Dungeon is not currently available but will start with log reset turned on Friday, December 9.
Destiny 2 Season 19 Seraph Key Codes
Seraph Key Codes are the main resource needed to get the Season of the Seraph loot in Destiny 2. You can earn Seraph Key Codes by completing any event, but ritual playlist events (Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit) provide the most – completing a Strike is 250+ Seraph Key Codes. To get more Seraph Loot and Seraphic Umbral Energy, you need to use 500 Seraph Key Codes to open the bonus Seraph Chest found at the end of Heist Battlegrounds.
There is no limit to how many Seraph Key Codes you can earn or how many times you can open a Seraph Chest in a week, so keep completing events to earn Seraph Key Codes, always enough to open a Seraph Chest. Time to complete the Heist Battlegrounds quest. By upgrading the Exo Frame in HELM you can unlock new ways to earn Seraph Key Codes, such as Exo Frame rewards and defeating enemies.
Upgrade Exo Frame in Destiny 2 Season 19
During the first seven weeks of the Seraph Season, new Seasonal Missions will unlock, two of which offer an Exo Frame module as a reward for completion. To add new ways to get Seraph loot and improve existing methods, you need to use these Exo Frame Modules in the Upgrades menu of Exo Frame in HELM. There are 17 Exo Frame upgrades, but 14 are unlocked with modules – the other three will be unlocked as the ‘More Than A Weapon’ story quest progresses.
Exo Frame upgrades that can be unlocked with modules are divided into two ways: Focus and Efficiency Upgrades. Focus Upgrades add or improve ways to get new Seraph loot by focusing on Umbral Engrams, or add new ways to gain Seraphic Umbral Energy. Efficiency Upgrades increase the speed at which you can obtain new Seraph loot and unlock weapon crafting patterns. Overall, these upgrades offer a lot more bad luck protection and modernization compared to previous seasons in Destiny 2, so these weapon models should be a lot easier to obtain.
If you want to focus on getting the best weapons and unlocking all weapon models to produce quickly, here are the Exo Frame upgrades you should prioritize and our recommended order to unlock them:
- Heist Seraphic Gear: Greatly increases your chances of getting Seraph gear you don’t already have when opening the Seraph Chest in the Heist Battlegrounds playlist quest. It also causes repeated gear from Seraph Chests to drop with additional Exo Frame reputation.
- Heist Deep Sight: When you open a Seraph Chest for the first time each week, it guarantees that a Seraph weapon you don’t own will drop with Deep Sight Resonance.
- IKELOS Weapon Focus: Allows you to focus Umbral Engrams on IKELOS weapons in Exo Frame.
- Seraph Weapon Focus: Allows you to focus Umbral Engrams on Seraph weapons in Exo Frame.
- Umbral Activities: Raids, Dungeons, Dares of Eternity, and other playlist events now have a chance to grant Seraphic Umbral Energy.
- Focus Double Advantage: The first IKELOS or Seraph weapon you focus on in a given week will have an additional selectable feature in a slot.
- Serafik Deep Sight Bonus: Seraph Chests have a chance to drop an additional Seraph or IKELOS weapon with Deep Sight Resonance that you don’t already have the weapon mold for.
- Focus Deep Sight: The first IKELOS or Seraph weapon you focus on each week will have Deep Sight Resonance.
Rate Exo Frame in Destiny 2 Season 19 by reputation
Upgrading the Exo Frame with modules is essential in making it easier to grind loot for the Season of the Seraph, but you can also get a few extra rewards that will help you by raising your reputation rank with the Exo Frame. Completing Heist Battlegrounds playlist quests are the only way to earn Exo Frame reputation. The Heisted Seraphic Gear Exo Frame Upgrade will give you a little more each time you get a recurring reward item.
The four-day reward from Exo Frame also gives you 25 Exo Frame reputations, so be sure to complete them each day to earn extra reputation. Complete any eight Exo Frame rewards each week to receive a piece of Seraph gear as a reward.
At Exo Frame Rank 7 you can have the Deepsight IKELOS weapons Umbral Engram, and at Rank 13 you can have the Deepsight Seraphic weapons Umbral Engram – both will give you a Deepsight Resonance version of one of the corresponding weapons that you didn’t give. There are already crafting patterns for you. When you reach Exo Frame reputation Level 17 (Legend) and then max out the rank with a total of 10,000 Exo Frame reputations, you can reset your rank to get even more rewards by collecting the Soaring Fragment.
