Cenat was arrested by police late in the afternoon, and the crowd was dispersed about an hour later. According to rumors from a CBSthe influencer did not have authorization to hold the event, which would have been a collaboration with Fanum, a “Bronx star” on YouTube.

New York Police Department (NYPD) Chief Jeffrey Maddrey spoke about the case:

“We have faced things like this before, but never at this level of danger, where young people did not follow our orders. […] There were people walking around with shovels, axes and other tools of the construction trade. In addition, individuals were lighting fireworks. They were throwing them at police and throwing them at each other,” he concluded.
