CBLOL 2024: playoffs are changed by Riot and 1st split games have a date announced

A Riot Gamesin a recent announcement, shared exciting details about the 1st Split of the 2024 Brazilian League of Legends Championship (CBLOL).

In addition, it informed a different format for the playoffs, changes to the tiebreaker criteria and important dates for the games.

CBLOL 2024 is scheduled to begin on January 20th, with the opening clash between LOUD and KaBuM.

The match schedule will continue with five exciting duels on Saturdays and Sundays, starting at 1pm (Brasília time), and the grand final is scheduled for April 20th.

One of the significant changes is in the knockout phase: teams classified in 5th and 6th place will start the match in the upper bracket, thus they will face the 4th and 3rd place, respectively.

The first and second placed teams will enter directly into the upper bracket semi-final, and the leader can decide the semi-final in which they will compete.

Intensity in games and more opportunities

The new season promises more intensity in the knockout phase, which takes place as a best of 5 (Md5), which leads to a strategic and electrifying experience for spectators.

In total, CBLOL 2024 will feature 90 games in Md1 and 10 in Md5, this ensures that all playoff teams participate in at least two series, which minimizes the risk of elimination with defeat.

Tiebreaker criteria and tickets

In the event of a tie between teams in the qualifying phase, the first tiebreaker criterion will be direct confrontation. If it is not possible to break the tie with just these matches, new tiebreaker matches will be scheduled.

Ticket sales for CBLOL 2024 will begin on January 10th, through the website uhuu.com, which offers fans the opportunity to experience the excitement of games in person.

The arena’s capacity is 140 fans per event, and each person can purchase up to two tickets per CPF per day of the championship.
