Football games are one of the most acclaimed genres in the video game industry, with the best-known AAA being “FIFA“.
The game is so popular that several global competitions are held annually, a kind of World Cup for consoles, where Brazil, a country famous for its skill in the sport, also stands out.
It seems that the country of football is not only great in real sport, but it is also a great opponent in the online game, since in addition to being the only five-time World Cup champion, it won the 2023 FIFA world championship, the “FIFAe Nation Cup”, for the second consecutive year.

On Friday, July 14, the Brazilian National Team won the title of “FIFA 2023” world champion, receiving the prize of US$ 300 thousand (around R$ 1.44 million in the current direct conversion) for the FIFAe Nation Cup, in an exciting and unexpected final.
The team, made up of Paulo Neto, PHzin and Resende, received the trophy after beating Holland in a comeback match with a final score of 3-2 for Brazil.
The feeling and emotion of the players was incredible since, in the first match, the Brazilians lost 2-0, but after Resende was replaced by Paulo Neto, Brazil came back with a 3-0 win.
The team’s coach, Gabgol, and player PHzin, became, respectively, the first Brazilian coach and the first Brazilian player to win two FIFA world championships. This is because, last year, the two formed the winning team of the “FIFAe Nation Cup 2022“.
Impressive trajectory
The Brazilian National Team left its trail of consecutive victories, defeating numerous countries participating in the championship. Since the group stage, when it came in first place with six victories, the team has shown itself to be almost unbeatable.
In the following stages, they defeated Denmark 1-0, Finland 4-1 and France 2-0, beating their opponents one by one, until they reached the final and were greeted with a demotivating defeat.
But not enough to take away the determination of Brazilians, who proved to the world once again that Brazil really is the birthplace of football.
