‘Battlefield’ enters the forefront of virtual reality with challenging effects

The universe ‘Battlefield‘ is about to be reinvented, and the expectation is that the next title in the franchise will bring with it a revolution in virtual destruction effects.

Under the tutelage of studio Ripple Effect, formerly known as DICE LA, the team is determined to create the most realistic and stunning effects ever seen in the video game industry.

Raising the bar with immersive visuals

The recent announcement of a job opening for visual effects director by Tech4Gamers reveals the ambition of Electronic Arts, owner of the ‘Battlefield’ franchise.

The company is looking for a Senior 3D Artist to lead the creation of destruction effects that not only visually impress, but also provide an immersive and authentic experience for players.

The Ripple Effect studio, located in Los Angeles, is just one of several studios involved in the project to revitalize the ‘Battlefield’ series.

After the disappointing reception of ‘Battlefield 2042’, EA has restructured its approach and relies on DICE’s expertise to generate a new multiplayer experience.

Additionally, the Ridgeline Games studio, led by Marcus Lehto, co-creator of the franchise’Halo’, will collaborate on the development of a single-player campaign.

The ‘Battlefield’ franchise, known for its expansive maps, destructible battlefields and intense multiplayer gameplay, seeks to reaffirm its position as a leader in the first-person shooter genre.

Ripple Effect, in addition to supporting other studios and contributing to ‘Battlefield 2042’, is determined to raise the standard of virtual destruction to new levels of authenticity.

The strategic change in direction of the series, with Vince Zampella, founder of Infinity Ward and Respawn, taking the helm, promises innovation and a unified vision for the future of the franchise.

While we anxiously await the news, ‘Battlefield 2042’ remains available for PlayStation 5PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, with a promising new season coming in March, full of innovative content, including new maps.
