All captures made on the platform will be automatically deleted after 90 days. To preserve your gaming memories, you will need to transfer these clips and screenshots to the OneDrive or external storage. A warning will appear in the capture application informing you which files are about to be deleted.
To avoid losing their precious captures, players will also have the option to set their Xbox consoles to automatically send all future captures directly to OneDrive. This way, there will be no more risk of involuntary loss.
A Microsoft highlights that PC users can use the Microsoft Clipchamp video editor to create videos from clips saved on OneDrive, making the editing experience more accessible and convenient.
Microsoft adds new feature to homepage
In addition to the changes to capture management, Microsoft announced a new section on the Microsoft home page Xbox called “Events”. This section will provide information about gaming events and new content for your favorite titles, keeping players updated on what is happening in their virtual communities to optimize user interaction with the platform.
The company has also made it easier to search and download popular apps like Spotify, Disney+ and Apple Music, making the process simpler and more direct. When setting up a new console, there is now the option to download these apps directly, saving time and effort.
Finally, Microsoft introduced some new features related to the application of sports videos, although this content is exclusive to the United States of America.
The updates reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to improving the user experience in the Xbox ecosystem and offering more flexible options for content management.
