All Blaidd questline locations and walkthrough for Elden Ring

The Elden Ring Blaidd questline is a massive questline that spans the game’s story and map, eventually connecting to the Elden Ring Ranni questline and secret ending. Blaidd, a warrior-like werewolf and one of Elden Ring’s more iconic characters, you’ll initially meet howling in a forest. His quest is long and will take you all over the Lands in Between. Overall, Blaidd’s location can be difficult to locate at times, but it’s not always clear where he’s going. Or to show up when he really wants to. That’s why we’re about to take you through the full Blaidd questline and cover key locations in the Elden Ring and how to get Blaidd’s armor and great sword.

We have clear spoilers ahead for Elden Ring in general, Blaidd’s quest, and some relationships with Ranni the Witch. Keep this in mind for the future!

All of Blaidd’s locations and destinations in the Elden Ring

Blaidd is in certain locations depending on how far away you are in the questline – once you complete his objectives in one area he will switch to the next. The problem is, some of these objectives are story- or boss-progressed, so players can accidentally trigger his quest and make him move unexpectedly without ever speaking to him. Luckily, we’ve outlined every place he can reach, in the (rough) order he heads to them, as well as the following mission objectives.

Small point though Be sure to exhaust her dialogue while talking to her. This should work for all characters, but it applies here too – when talking to Blaidd or anyone, select speak until you start repeating the dialogue. Then you can continue.

  1. Howling from the top of a higher point in the Mist Tree Ruins. Talk to Trader Kalé at Elleh Church about this, and he will teach you the Finger-tapping gesture. Head to the ruins and look at Blaidd’s highest point, then Finger Snap to make him jump down and talk.
  2. Head to Forlorn Hound Evergaol, the extra-dimensional prison in South Limgrave. Blaidd will be there as a summons – use him to defeat the inside boss Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, then talk to him again at the Evergaol entrance. It will give you the Somber Smithing Stone (2) and guide you to Liurnia.
  3. Talk to Ranni in Ranni’s Rise, the tower accessed by going from Caria Mansion to the Three Sisters garden. He will reveal that Blaidd is one of the three maids working for him, and is even there in ghost form after talking to him.
  4. Head down the Siofra River taking the Siofra River Well in West Mistwood, then hug the right cliff of the Hallowhorn Grounds until you see a Torrent Spirit Super Jump Tornado thing (they’re called Spirit Springs, but no one remembers that). If Blaidd is here, he’ll be standing very close to this on the edge of the cliff. Talk to him to hear his doubts about Seluvis, and he’ll ask you to talk to the Sorcerer Sellen.
  5. Sellen is under the Waypoint Ruins east of Agheel, and to get to it you’ll need to defeat a small boss named Mad Pumpkin Head (if you haven’t already). Talk to him, let him drop the name of someone named Radahn. Head back He will go to the Siofra River to pass this information on to Blaidd, who will then offer to form a team against Radahn.
  6. Now players need to go to Redmane Castle in Southeast Caelid and kill the demigod boss Starscourge Radahn. You’ll have to fight through the entire castle to get there, and Radahn himself is one of the toughest fights in the game. Still, Blaidd will be in the arena as a call. When you’re done with the fight, talk to him on the battlefield about the mysterious shooting star.
  7. After that, head back to Forlorn Hound Evergaol once again and try to get inside – Blaidd is locked inside! Release him and talk to him, but from this point Blaidd’s questline basically becomes Ranni’s questline, which is a very long one that will take you through all of the Lands In Between – but don’t worry, we have a page. 8. When Ranni’s questline is complete, head back to Ranni’s Rise (or just outside) to see Blaidd again – only this time he’s aggressive and out to kill you. There is no way to calm him down – save him from his suffering and end the questline for good.

How to get Blaidd questline rewards and Blaidd’s armor and sword

When you kill Blaidd in the Caria Mansion Garden, he drops the Royal Great Sword, a powerful Colossal Sword that scales with his armor, along with Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity. Blaidd’s armor set is heavy but protective, and one of the better sets for those who make their character a little more tanky (not to mention it looks pretty cool).

The only missing piece is the Wolf Mask, located in the Seluvis’ Rise tower just south of Ranni’s Rise. As you approach the entrance, jump to the left wall and go up to find the mask on a corpse.

For more rewards, players can go to Blacksmith Iji at any point after Phase 2 of the questline. It will have added to your inventory for purchase the Carian Filigreed Crest, a Talisman that reduces the FP cost of Ash of War arts by 25% (not a bad addition).

Blaidd lore and story revealed

Here’s a brief rundown of what’s really going on in the story, at least as we understand it: Half Wolf Blaidd is literally the servant of the mighty Ranni the Witch, either created or created to serve her. at least somehow divinely attached to him – but only to be his servant maintain divine order. To begin with, he is out to kill a traitor named Darriwil, who appears to be a smaller pet project, but at the same time helps Ranni pursue his larger goal of breaking the laws of the world and claiming power.

The problem is that Ranni is not supposed to do this and her fight against the great will will drive Blaidd crazy. He opposes Erdtree and his divine purpose by helping her, so when you complete Ranni’s questline, Blaidd gets confused and freaked out, something he’s aware of as a possibility but convinces himself that it won’t turn out the way he wants. To help Ranni reach the end of the game. That’s why you find him trapped in Evergaol – his friend Iji put him there because he saw what was going to happen and thought it would be safer for everyone.

There is no possible happy ending for Blaidd as far as we know, at least as long as you complete Ranni’s quest (which unlocks the secret and best ending for Elden Ring). Either go crazy for eternity in Evergaol or get knocked down by the player in battle. Either way, it’s a sad doggo.
