It is believed that the video must have filmed the event at the defender’s home before it was posted on Snapchat Sunday afternoon, just a day after West Ham’s FA Cup fourth-round win at Kidderminster.
The French international then chases the animal around the dining room in front of a boy while the cameraman laughs. Zouma also throws a pair of designer shoes at the pet who is frantically trying to escape. In a recent clip, he is seen forcibly slapping the cat in the face and out of the boy’s arms.

Kurt Zouma apologizes, Club condemns incident
West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma has apologized after a video emerged Monday of him kicking and slapping a cat.
said: “I want to apologize for what I did. There is no excuse for my behavior, I sincerely regret it.
“I also want to say how deeply sorry I am to everyone who was disturbed by the video. I can assure everyone that both our cats are doing fine and healthy.
“They are loved and cherished by our entire family, and this behavior was an isolated incident that would never happen again.”
West Ham made the following statement: “West Ham United unequivocally condemns the actions of our player Kurt Zouma in the circulating video.
We have spoken to Kurt and we will deal with the matter internally, but we would like to point out that we do not condone cruelty to animals in any way.”
The animal welfare charity RSPCA condemned Kurt Zouma’s actions and reiterated the importance of reporting the suffering of suspected animals.
“This is a very sad video. Kicking, hitting or slapping an animal, for punishment or otherwise, is never acceptable,” said an RSPCA spokesperson.
“We are very grateful to people who have reported us suspected suffering from animals and want to reassure people that we will always look into and, if necessary, investigate complaints made against us about animal welfare.”
